We heard from our caller Tyler wondering if the Jets could possibly get in on a Halak deal with Buffalo before the upcoming NHL trade deadline tomorrow. There was also a question about the likelihood of Dustin Byfuglien being traded and rumours about Setoguchi and Throburn becoming San Jose Sharks in exchange for Tyler Kennedy and a few others in a true hockey trade.
Jeff says that the Jets would really benefit from grabbing Cory Conacher off waivers, but sitting in the twelfth position on the claim, it’s not likely to see him in a Jets jersey any time soon.
We recapped the previous game and predicted the next week.
For what it’s worth, Jeff is 19-21 while Marshall is 20-20 on predictions this season.
Check this out if you’re looking for Winnipeg Jets tickets.
Of course with the trade deadline tomorrow, we talked about a few of the trades that already happened like Roberto Luongo heading back to the Florida Panthers, Ryan Miller off to St. Louis and Ilya Bryzgalov to the Minnesota Wild. There’s no doubt some more trades should happen tomorrow so we’ll be reviewing a number of them on the next episode of Jets Hockey Podcast.
Our next show will be March 11.
