Pretty sure this is a bunch of BS.  Mark Chipman hasn’t released ANYTHING.  Notice how this website is the only place reporting the name will be the Whiteout.  That and TNSE trademarked and purchased the winnipegwhiteout.CA domain name.  Likely for promoting playoff appearances……..or perhaps the first season slogan.

Pretty sure if they did buy the trademark “Whiteout” it’s because the whiteout originated in winnipeg, not to name the team but to use as marketing.  bunch of BS. yeah check out after the “what do you think.” . . . ”  Well heck, wouldnt’ the above be an amazing story?” BS!

I can’t believe people are actually buying this.  This is fake, those jersey are very clearly fake.  The snowflake can be found on any Microsoft clipart search, and the lettering is also from word/Wordart.  Also, if you right click + select all, you’ll see a hidden message at the end beside “What do you think.”

“Well heck, wouldn’t the above be an amazing story?”.  This is a fake, and a poor one at that.

Terrible name. Winnipeg Jets is a world famous brand. All the polls have indicated it’s what the fans want. Winnipeg Whiteout is lame. We have over 11,400 signatures on the #1 ranked petition in Canada requesting that TNSE use the Winnipeg Jets name. You can see it here:

Wow this site just lost all credibility with this. I let it go when you pretended to “find” that Evander Kane interview, without crediting the radio show who did the interview, or my site which has the first to post it (After the host send it to me). But this is just sad. Sorry

Be prepared to have your blog seized … once they lockup the trademark on the name. Another point… you aren’t even from Winnipeg, you putz

It’s quite unfortunate. You have a great registered web address. You could do so much with it. (heck maybe even make a little money) But you decide to write pure crap. Out and out lying. I would be ashamed of myself! I knew it was fake as soon as you quoted David Thomson… C’mon guys… Be careful and stay classy!!!!!

We’ve written on follow up piece already at and are working on a more thorough piece to release tomorrow. Without getting to much into it, we made a judgement call, we took a risk. We’re sorry it didn’t pay off as we had hoped. Please check back tomorrow for more information.

Winnipeg needs something to sell jerseys etc . rebels, falcons, jets, are fine names but how about names like crush, generals, saints, freeze, wolverines, or knights. After all its a new era and with that a new name should be adopted. more ideas and or a contest should be held. these are some my thoughts boooooooooooo, on moose and polar bears . thnx kevy chevy

Obviously this is the White Out Go Daddy website that has been owned recently, and rumored about.

I believe they will go with the Winnipeg Jets as a name, and seeing that their official NHL website exists now winnipeg.nhl. com and, know as Winnipeg on the NHL website, that isn’t likely to change.

Then the fact that the Law firm Pitblado LLP has been seen on the Canadian Intellectual Property Office website as a representative interested in the Jets 1990 logo, and TM, and I can find some connections between TNSE and them.

Plus the fact it’s the most preferred name from fans, on all websites, and anyone I’ve asked which is hundreds by now, including the petition thru facebook which had over 15,000 peoples names on it last time I checked, that would be a lot of upset people, if not the  JETS.

Putting 1+1  together is ease.  I fully believe Mark Chipman always wanted to own the Jets, for even more evidence of what the new name may be by TNSE.

So, all that tells me one thing, the name we may very well here as early as Friday afternoon will be…
    The Winnipeg JETS

The Jersey the same as it was last in 1995, but Reebok with the same ’90’s logo for the first year, and then changed to a new fresh logo and Jersey for the 2012-13 season.

That is my best guess !
