What did the Jets miss in cancelled games

While we sit and wait for the official 2012-13 revised schedules to be released across the league, and of course for the Winnipeg Jets, I figured it made sense to have a look over how the season could have gone had the CBA been in place at the beginning of the season.

When the season starts on Saturday January 19, according to my count, the Winnipeg Jets will have missed 41 scheduled regular season games – 22 of which were to be on home ice at The Hangar.

When you dig in to the cancelled schedule a little further, it gets even more interesting.

Of those 41 games cancelled, 33 of them were East Division games.

Even more interesting is that 12 of them were divisional games – 3 against each opponent.

One interesting thing is that they wouldn’t have missed a single regular season game against Ottawa.

With the projections of the upcoming official Winnipeg Jets 2012-13 schedule being released tomorrow, there’s no doubt that some key dates will be discovered and fully expanded on.

Check back this weekend when the schedule is officially released.
