Being away for so long again really sucked, but we’re back behind the mics in studio and better than ever. A lot changed in the world of the Winnipeg Jets and we discuss it today’s show.
We changed up our listener question on the fly with an email to our listeners (get on the list) about the recent firing and hiring in the Jets Head Coaching position.
Our question for next you is whether the Winnipeg Jets should keep Dustin Byfuglien, and if not, what the trade should be?
Call us anytime before 5:00 pm CT on Monday January 20 toll-free at 855-321-JETS (5387).
We didn’t recap the previous games, but did lay out the next week of games predictions as the Winnipeg Jets are battling for the basement.
For what it’s worth, Jeff is 11-14 while Marshall is 14-11 on predictions this season.
Check this out if you’re looking for Winnipeg Jets tickets.
We’re doing a special LIVE TO AIR of the Drunk Hockey Show on Saturday January 18 @ 7:00-9:00 pm at Shannon’s Irish Pub in Winnipeg at 175 Carlton Street. You’ll be able to tune in live at drunkhockeyshow.com/live or come see us in person…there’s beer specials happening.
In other hockey and NHL related news quickly touched on Team Canada’s Olympic Roster for the 2014 games in Sochi, the Winnipeg Jets players named to Olympic rosters and the rendering the NHL released for the Coors Light Stadium Series at Dodger Stadium. Jeff has said he’s boycotting Coors Light for the rest of the season.
One other BIG thing to note that you’ll be able to catch us live on-air and online as we invade TSN 1290 this weekend. On Friday January 17 Marshall is set to be a guest host with Rick Ralph on the Rona Roundtable. On Saturday both Marshall and Jeff smack around the guys from the Illegal Curve Hockey Show around 9:30 am. And if you didn’t get the title of the episode today, it’s episode 66…think about a player (the only one) to have worn 66 in the NHL.
