While the Jets season may be over the real work has already begun. Winnipeg’s management and scouts have been busy all year evaluating their talent on the Jets, IceCaps and Eagles. They’ve been scouting the other 29 organizations, the juniors, the college ranks, Europe and anywhere else they are playing high level hockey.
The NHL entry draft order will be determined on Tuesday, April 12 when the draft lottery is held. Winnipeg will select ninth overall unless their 2.7% chance of winning the lottery happens, which would mean they would move up and select fifth.
On this weeks Jets Hockey Podcast we will have a special guest Shane Malloy, co-host of Hockey Prospect Radio on Sirius XM Home Ice and author of “The Art of Scouting”.
